Kaip jau buvo skelbta ,,Drauge", rugsėjo 14 d. dienraštyje "Chicago Tribune" buvo išspausdinta Kevin Pang paruošta Čikagos etninių muziejų apžvalga, kurioje Balzeko lietuvių kultūros muziejus pristatomas po antrašte "3 Museums That Will Take You Back To The U.S.S.R."
,,Draugo" pirmo puslapio redaktorius Vladas Krivickas susisiekė su minėtos publikacijos autoriumi ir paprašė jo pakomentuoti, kodėl lietuvių muziejus, kuriame nėra nė užuominos apie sovietmetį, dienraštyje pristatytas kaip ,,nukeliantis į SSRS".
"Tribune" žurnalistas netruko atsakyti į ,,Draugo" kreipimąsi ir išdėstyti savo argumentus. Žemiau pateikiame  K. Pang atsakymą originalo kalba.


Mr. Krivickas,

Thank you for your note. As you alluded, this was meant to highlight the museums in the area and not disparage anyone. The headline "Back to the U.S.S.R." was in reference to The Beatles' song, and not meant to be taken literally.

That said, yes, I agree we need to highlight more about ethnic communities, whether it'd be Lithuanians, Latvians, Chinese, Hondurans and others. As an immigrant myself, I understand a newspaper should reflect its community, both in its readers and within the pages. If you have any ideas you'd like to share with me, I'd be happy to hear them.
